THE STUMBLETHE WORLD IS TOUGHCD Review in Issue 35 of Blues Matters Magazine A feeling of dread comes over me whenever I read the word saxophone in the line-up of any Blues/Rock CD. In my experience sax players are greedy for the spotlight and given the opportunity will hog the limelight. After a couple of pacey R&B/Rock numbers the Blues begins with track 3, the title track. Followed by 'All Over Again','midnight' blues at it's very best with Paul Melville's strong vocals complimented perfectly by first guitar Colin Black, whilst intelligent and disciplined use of Simon Anthony's haunting (on this track)sax playing adds real depth. Other tracks of note are 'Be My Baby' and 'Work it Out On My Own'.Fine support from John Spencer, second guitar, Dave Heath on bass and Boyd Tonner on drums make this a very good CD and one where, for me at least, the sax works completely in its contribution.Pete MoranTHE STUMBLESPECTRUM BLUES CLUB, KEIGHLEY JULY 18th 2006Preston band The Stumble stormed into their first set with BB King's Upset Me Baby, enhanced by a brilliant sax solo from Simon Anthony. With the powerful and aggressive vocals of Paul Melville and Canadian born Colin Black's fluid guitar licks, the tempo never stopped rocking over two sets of blues standards. Coupled with some great self penned tracks from The Stumble's CD this has to be the tightest band seen in the club so far. If this band come to Keighley again, tickets will be selling on Ebay.Gary Chatburn The Keighley News 20/07/06
